Oberhausen

16th December 2006, we made a Eastbound trip to a German border city -- Oberhausen, where CentrO apparently is the biggest shopping mall in Europe. Our main purpose is for the friend reunion and also for Christmas market.

The weather was rather bad and we were shocked by the crowds at CentrO and completely overwhelmed by the Dutchies that visited the area.

Oberhausen is a industrial city and CentrO is a giant shopping mall that successfully draws a big crowd from the Germans themselves and also from the boder countries.

The Christmas market stalls were built surrounding the CentrO and also by a man-made lake. There was nothing thrill about this boring industry city except for the meetings with friends that made the trip itself meaningful
